THIS IS THE ONLY WAY THE WORLD CAN SEE US
In Burma even some entertainment is band. Junta, the Burmese military doesn't allow music especially hip pop. But people who really wanted music in Burma stood up for it. Thxo Soe, a music artist in Burma wanted to let music have freedom so that everyone could hear it in Burma. Soe had traditional music but he wanted to change it a bit, so he went to London and mixed traditional Burmese music with modern music. He brought this music to Burma for the Burmese to enjoy, but Junta didn't like that. Soe did this so that people can show their ideas and their emotions through music. There is no one or campaign that is trying to bring music to Burma, so Soe is doing it. I think what Soe is doing is good, because we need entertainment in our lives. If  I was a Burmese Soe will be mu hero because music just makes me happy, and more into the world. If  I were in Soe's position I wouldn't stand up against Junta because I might be house arrested like Aung San Suu Kyi or I might get another consequence. So Soe is really brave to stand up against Junta

BLACK, WHITE OR YELLOW
I chose this painting by an Abstract Artist called Mondrian kandinsky because it has lots of colors mashed up and put together. This painting shows that we all have to be equal with each other, eventhough that person is not same, race as you, has same skin color as u or isnt same religion with you. This is just like the poem called "No Man is an Island" which means that everybody is a whole there is nobody thats just 1 Island.

Eboo Patel is an American muslim, raised in Chicago. He lectures people about religion he is also Americas best leader in 2009 and he is the founder of Interfaith Youth Core. In his discussion he talks about religion, how people can make fun of other people about their religion and race they are from. First he said about the time he was in University when he went to the gym to play basketball, but there were 3 groups playing together, the whites, blacks and Asians. Patel wanted to play with the whites, but than he would have to give up his language and all his food. Than Patel wondered why would anyone care about other peoples religion, race, diversity and their skin color. Than he found out that each religion is different in many ways. Now he is telling people to be fair to each other which i think could change some people. The religion is the only thing that Patel doesn't leave because he knows how important that is. The religion is the important path for Patel and it shouldn't be ignored.

I think Eboo Patel connects with Aung San Suu Kyi because when she got house arrest she gad to give up her family her people and the stuff she used to have, same as Patel, he had to leave his language Hindi, and all his Indian food just to be like a white person.

STOP WAR WITH A PAINTING?
The drawing called Guernica made by Picasso is a really great drawing of living things chopped up and put at random places. When you first see this picture you will look all over the drawing because it is everywhere, sometimes yo can even match a living thing together with another body part. I think this drawing shows something about war, like there is this person who is dragging another person, and there are body parts of humans on the ground. Picasso actually drew a small place called Guernica which was in war and the whole place was destroyed, so Picasso made it as destructive and violent as he could. This shows that war is really not the great way of concluding something, because you will loose a lot of members.

FATMIRE FEKA~ A TRUE HERO
Fatmire Feka is an Albanian muslim, she is a brave person. When she was 11 she was in the middle of a war, the war with the Serbians and the Albanians. The Albanian guards had told Feka's family to flee from their village because the Serbians were rounding up to execute the Albanian muslim's. They drove in their uncles truck filled with their families, the uncle drove as far and fast as they could, on the way they herd gun shots and loud noises from behind. They stopped at a garbage dump and had to stay there for 3 weeks, as they were there, more people joined and the placed was filled. One day a person had told them if they wanted to leave they would have to pay $100. They wanted to leave so they collected money. They left but than at the end the Serbians did not allow them to get away. since than Fatmire Feka had bad nightmares. Until now she still can't find her family.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.

Martin Luther King JR. was a black man who stood up against white people. He wanted white people to treat black people fairly. Martin Luther King was born on January 15, 1929. Martin Luther King did not like how the blacks were treated on the buses, the blacks would usually sit at the back of the bus (a dirty place) and they had to give their seats to white people if there were no more seats left. On December 21, 1956, after the Supreme Court of the United States had declared unconstitutional the laws requiring segregation on buses, Negroes and whites rode the buses as equals. He has done a lot of good stuff for the Negros. At the age of 35 Martin was the youngest person to receive a Nobel prize. 1 day Martin was standing outside his motel balcony to make a protest but then a gun fired and shot Martin, he was assassinated. I think Martin Luther King JR is a hero because he help the Negros by telling the white people to treat them as equally, that is hard if you are also a negro but he still stood up to help his people.

RULING THE WORLD

Songwriters: Berryman, Guy Rupert; Buckland, Jonathan Mark; Champion, Will; Martin, Christopher A.J

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets that I used to own

I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing:
"Now the old king is dead!
Long live the king!"

One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand

I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
Once you go there was never, never an honest word
That was when I ruled the world
(Ohhh)

It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become

Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever want to be king?

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter will call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
(Ohhhhh Ohhh Ohhh)

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter will call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
Oooooh Oooooh Oooooh

This song called Viva La Vida by Coldplay. This song always makes me think of a hero because it is like a person who rules the world and conquers a person. One part of this song is when he says "I used to rule the world, sees would rise when I gave the world" this part really reminds me of a hero because it is saying that he used to be a ruler and a good one. This song is really cool, I recommend you to watch it.

This song reminds me of Themisteceles, who was a leader of Athens he fought at the big marathon and a was a really great leader. But one day the Athenians thought he had to much power so than he got executed by the Athenians. So first he was great and now he is way at the bottom.
