The Giver #4

Dear Asher,

I have left the community to see the whole world. by the time you read this or get this message i would be far away from you. Please do not tell anyone i have left the community or else they will come and search me, but i don't think they will find me, I'll be really far away. i have taken Gabriel with me, because they were going to release him which i do not want them to do, so he is with me. I have also taken my fathers bike for the journey.

If you and anyone else is wandering why i left, i don't agree with the rules and the sameness, because i am different than the others. i want the community to be equal, but i cant do that myself. If anyone realizes about all these things happening i bet they would be in conflicts. i took Gabe with me because he is going to get released which means, they would put a needle into his back and put him to sleep. I was not meant to tell you that but i have to.

I will miss u and everybody but it is for my own good. Please tell my parents that i am ok and show them my message when it is the right time. I will miss the whole community a lot. i am also very sorry i am doing this.

sincerely: Jonas
your best friend

The Giver Lit C #2

1. When Jonas learns all about colors, he claims "it isn't fair that nothing has color". Why does he say this?

Jonas learns about colors, so he thinks it is unfair that his community cant see color, but him and the giver can see color. There are few reasons why he thinks it is unfair. without color the world is not fun. People wont get to know what things really look like, if u look at something that see black and white you cant really describe it. I also think it is very unfair that the community cant see colors but Jonas and the giver can.

If u cant see any colors the world means nothing. You wont know how anything looks like. color makes you have more emotions and feelings. for example, the color red is for anger and love, the color blue is for calm and peace. Without these colors you wont have emotions.

Jonas wants the community to be equal. He wants them to enjoy the world and see it properly instead of looking at black and white. Color can change peoples lives a lot. I think there are a lot of other things Jonas thinks it is unfair for the community to not see color, but only the special people get to. These are the reasons why i think Jonas said "it isn't fair that nothing has color"

The Giver lit c #1

Today we just finished our first literature circle on the book called "The Giver" by Lois Powell. this book is a really good book, it is really interesting, but it is really complicated. Today everyone returned in their response sheet, i am really happy because we will get a Mars Bars. After we finish our discussions we had to answer 1 question that we chose from Mrs. Narsiman. I chose question #1, Would you like your future to be decided by others? Why? why Not? i do not want my life to be controlled by others because i want to take care of myself with no help. I want to do stuff that i am allowed, i want freedom in my life instead of people telling us what to do. if i am being controlled by others than my life would be really really boring. This book is really good so far for me, i think you should read it also

lit circle #2 (Zhanpole)

we finally finished our second literature circle meeting today it was fun. All of my group members finished their discussion sheet on time, our discussion went well. for homework Mrs. Narsiman told us to answer a question that she gave to us, and post it in our blogs. this question has to do something with a new important character, this character was introduced in this book at the end of chapter 4 when Henry and Will finds him. In this book his name is Zhanpole known as Beanpole. Mrs Narsimans question was " How will Beanpole help Will and Henry on their journey to the White Mountains?" Now i am going to answer that

There are some ways how Beanpole can help Will and Henry on their journey to the White Mountains. first, Beanpole is a smart boy, so if they get stuck in any problem Beanpole can help them solve it. I know that Beanpole is a smart boy because in the story he thought himself how to speak English by just using a old book he found. Second Beanpole can invent stuff, if beanpole can invent machines he can us them to help Will and Henry on their journey, like he can make a torch light so that they can see in the dark. I know Beanpole can invent stuff because in the book it said, "Lately, he had been more and more uneasy about the prospect of being Capped, rightly guessing that it would put an end to his inventing things". Beanpole can also help them on Will and Henry on their journey because Beanpole knows more about the place than them

lit discussion 1

Today we had our first lit circle on the book white Mountains by John Christopher it was fun! The main character of this book is Will To get ready for this lit circle we had to read the first two chapters and finish the discussion sheet. We got to know who is in our group today, in my group there is Nikita, Teah and Petra i am the only boy in my group. My teacher, Mrs. Narsiman told us to answer a question and that question is "How is Will just like you?" so now i am going to answer it

first of all Will is a very sneaky and stubborn boy just like how i am. I never listen to my mom, whenever i go out with my friends i always bring the camera with me. Once my mom found out that i steal the camera that she got so mad at me, but i still do it. i am just like Will because he is not allowed to touch his dads watch, but he still takes it without the dads permission. i am very sneaky like Will. When i was smaller i used to sneak out of the house to play with my friends, just like Will how he sneaks out of the house to the White mountain.
